"Everything will eventually come to an end. So try to savor the moment, cause time flies, don’t it? The beauty of life, you gotta make it last for the better, cuz nothin’ lasts forever."
Recent pic of Nas, Ghostface Killah and Raekwon.
"Life is short is what some niggaz said; not if you measure life by how one lives and what he did."
Nasty Nas in ya area…about to cause mass hysteria.
"Sending flowers to funerals, readin’ rest in peace. You know, the usual, death comes in threes. ‘Life is short’, is what some nigga said. Not if you measure life by how one lives and what he did."
Jay-Z - BBC (ft. Nas, Beyoncé, Justin Timberlake, & Swizz Beatz)
Nas and Jay-Z’s former beef is famous throughout the hip-hop world, so a big smile inevitably spreads across my face whenever I hear one of their post-beef collab songs. All of these, including BBC, represent some of Nas and Jay-Z's best overall works, one of my favorites being Success by Jay-Z. For some reason something special always manifests itself whenever these two cats partner up, and I fuckin love it. BBC boasts a lot of energy and character, which makes it easy to rock out to. It’s my second favorite song off of Magna Carta Holy Grail, my favorite being Somewhere In America.

“An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.” - Gandhi
“In the land of the blind, the man with one eye is the king.” - Nas
J. Cole - Let Nas Down (Remix) (ft. Nas)
Not only did J. Cole’s phenomenal album Born Sinner prove to the world he’s much more dedicated to hip-hop than what his radio friendly debut album demonstrated, but his song Let Nas Down and this remix are now easily two of the best songs of the year. I’ve been a fan of J. Cole since his first mixtapes, but he clearly started going down the wrong “watered down mainstream radio” path once he started making it big. This is a beautiful song for numerous reasons, mostly because both songs are the realest shit I’ve heard in a long time. My favorite song of the year is still J. Cole’s Can I Holla At Ya, which goes to show just how massive this year is for him and his music.
