Big K.R.I.T. - What U Mean (Ft. Ludacris)

Big K.R.I.T. is one of the most consistent hip-hop artists in the game right now.  Everything he releases is definitely above average.  That said though, he has had a difficult time achieving more than just “above average” in my book.  Only a select few of his songs really blew my mind.  This is another one of his above average songs that really represents his overall music style.  It’s really good, but far from a classic in many ways.  Regarldess, his debut album Live From The Underground is easily his best release to date, and contains some truly outstanding songs.

What U Mean depicts Big K.R.I.T.’s very active hip-hop sex life…and I thought a humorously true quote from an episode of Metalocalypse I watched last night would be a suitable summarization of this song’s essence.

Toki: “So strange, is this mind of men…”
Skwisgaar: “Yeah, my little friend…we are…so evolved, yet our animalistic inskinks always remind us of who we really are.”
Toki: “Mens are the beasts…and womens…the demons of the nights…”
