The Submarines - 1940 (Amp Live Remix)

I absolutely love The Submarines. They’re one of my all time favorite indie bands. The original version of 1940 was already pretty damn epic, but Amp Live (the DJ behind Zion I) managed to remix it into a masterpiece. Every aspect about it is incredible.  Blake Hazard’s sexy voice and profound lyrics laid over one of Amp Live’s best instrumental productions he’s ever constructed…a true piece of audio art and a classic in my book.  I’ve been banging this in my car a lot lately.  Having a powerful bass system really helps this song reach it’s full potential of awesome, as you can imagine.

Amp Live has carried out multiple remixing solo projects, and all of them are top notch.  My second favorite song to stem from these solo projects is his absolutely beautiful song Video Tapez (ft. Del the Funky Homosapien). Definitely worth checking out if your a fan of Radiohead.
