My name's Jake Bourey, and I've dedicated a significant portion of my life to music and deciphering the science behind its beauty. As you can guess from my blog's title, I'm especially passionate about hip-hop. I post and review the best songs hip-hop has to offer, old and new. Most are in the “underground” genre, considering that’s where the vast majority of hip-hop's true art resides these days.
I posted Logic’s music video for his outstanding song Mind Of Logic (ft. Camille Michelle Gray) way back when I first created this blog during the Summer of 2011. He’s always had a lot of talent, and his new mixtape Young Sinatra: Welcome To Forever really illustrates that. Although I believe he still hasn’t reached his full potential yet. Give him some more years to sharpen his skills even further and he’ll eventually be on of the top dogs in the game.

This is off of his 2011 album Bad As Me, which is pretty damn awesome. He’s one gritty mother fucker. This music video is also one of a kind, which you definitely don’t see enough of these days.
Who else is going to Bonnaroo in 10 days?
“I refuse to be a role model. I set goals, take control, drink out my own bottles. I make mistakes, I learn from everyone, and when it’s said and done, I bet this brother be a better one.”
- Tupac
After a long debate rapper Rick Ross was informed that he could no longer go shirtless without at least blurring out his tits. This decision was made by the Censorship Compliance Unit of the Department of Internal Affairs.
